Amy Reed is not native born to Texas, but claims it as her home. She and her daughters moved to the Bryan/College Station area from Madisonville in the spring of 2007. Her goal is to experience life to the fullest and dreams of continuing her education at Texas A & M. A single mother to four daughters, ages 16, 13, 11, & 5 1/2, she is excited to be a part of the KBB team because of the many opportunities it will allow for her and her daughters to be a positive part of a community they have grown so fond of.

Amy's true passion is community service and youth ministry. She is finding the opportunity to do a lot of both with Keep Brazos Beautiful programing and the Young Environmental Leaders League.

Before working at KBB, Amy co-hosted a morning radio show for KMVL radio in Madisonville and was the Newspapers in Education Manager for the Eagle in Bryan/College Station. She has served on numerous committees for non-profit events including Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society and was nominated Woman of the Year in 2006 by the Madisonville Chamber of Commerce. Her main claim to fame though is having been a featured guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show which aired in January of 2007.

Amy enjoyes the daily adventures of raising children and plans to write a book about it some day. She also looks forward to the future of traveling around the world to see firsthand the foreign cultures and family life of so many she has read about and studied. And last but not least, this girl looks forward to the day she can call herself a genuine Aggie! Whoop!
